I don’t really see the picture very awesome, it looks better than a normal TV.
For the same price I was going to buy a panasonic same size, and with much better picture, freakean brand sony it is pretty strong to me, but know I’m starting to think than Sony it is a expensive brand and not the best brand, Hitachi, Panasonic and even sharp are doing very good things and with very competitive prices and technollogy.

First of all, let me say this is a beautiful TV with wonderful picture. I bought this TV from Best Buy and arranged for it to be delivered. It was finally delivered on a Friday and on Saturday evening (very next day!!) I tried to turn it on, the green power light came on but nothing on the screen. It then powered itself down and the red standby light flashed (5 times) and it shut down. I returned to Best Buy and they setup an exchange (new unit) for the following Tuesday. The television was delivered on the Tuesday and 1 week later same problem!! I am disgusted with this television and will be returning it to Best Buy for a refund!! (second unit was manufactured March 2004, didn’t check the first)

I purchased a Sony KF50WE610 in Feb of 2004. This is a second
TV in our home and is not used as frequently. In August of 05 I heard a loud “POP” and the TV went dead. The lamp broke. A replacement is $200. 00 I have never had a 1. 5 year TV break
and require $200 to repair. If I had a TV repair company come out to fix this it would add $100 – $200 to the repair bill.
Either fork out the big bucks for an
extended warranty (with means the product is defective) or stay away from SONY TVs!
